a beautiful fog envelopes the city
blankets of white snow
cover up gravelly muddy tracks on our driveway
time to shovel.
turn on the lights that mark the season,
not exactly the star that pointed the way for the shepherds.
drive by: election signs on lawns,"Vote Santa" the Merry Christmas party,
the nativity, and Snoopy.
go to the store to return, exchange, try on.
poor kid didn't even have a crib.
