If you were two

Gordon,
If you were two you would have chased around the neighbourhood trick-or treating waiting for your sister in the wagon to catch up a couple days ago.
If you were two you would hold up your fingers to show how many when someone asked your age.
If you were two you would be running and playing with Josiah who is almost two (and Kellen almost three); you, like them would be into things that go.
If you were two your sister would try to follow you everywhere, up the play centres, down slides---trying to be with you a "big kid."
If you were two, we would teach you how to be gentle with your little sister and other little babies.
If you were two you would tell us when you need the big boy potty or your diaper changed.
If you were two, you would be blowing out two candles on the cake of your choosing,(that Mommy and Daddy helped you choose and make).
If you were two you would pick out your favourite books and have us read them over and over again.
If you were two Mommy and Daddy would insist that you hold their hands when crossing the street.
If you were two and very tired we would pick you up when you needed it.
If you were two we would hold you very tightly before bed and tell you how much we loved you,
If you were two we would be so proud of you and would tell everyone, "This is our son, Gordon."
If you were two my heart would ache a little less this November 2, 2008.
We love and miss you Gordon—It’s been two years and you are our son.
