I like the newness that September brings; it signals a time of change. For both John and I it means we are busy with a new school year. It also signals some important birthdays: Mom--September 2nd, Pella--September 4th and Jessica--September 8th (celebrated on the 9th). We had fun visiting and celebrating these wonderful women. Of course we also ended up playing some Settlers of Catan. I ended up have a wonderful time one-on-one with Pella sharing some coffee with her (mine was a sugar-free steamer :)on Broadway.

I didn't think that I would enjoy playing a new game so much. Settlers of Catan allows people to be pleasant with each other and,at the same time, compete to win!
your sept. sounds like our oct. Birthdays abound (Barbara, Shasha, me, Ivan and maybe cousin number 1?? if he/she comes early)
